Do you wish your teeth were a little whiter? Maybe you have thought about using the over-the-counter whitening kits at the drugstore. Did you know that they probably will not give you the results that you desire? While they may whiten your teeth a little bit, nothing compares to the in-office whitening procedures we provide at Magnolia Modern Dentistry.
Why Teeth Lose Their Whiteness
You may wonder why your teeth are not pearly white anymore. After all, you brush and floss your teeth as you are supposed to, so why the stains? It all comes down to normal wear and tear. The food you eat and the beverages you drink all play a role in your teeth’s whiteness. You also have to consider your lifestyle habits. If you smoke, chew tobacco, or drink heavily, you may stain your teeth. Even if you do not drink alcohol, but drink soda or coffee, your teeth will stain.
Sometimes we see patients that do not have any of these habits, but they still have stained teeth. Age plays a role in the process too. You may start to lose some of your teeth’s whiteness just from being around for a while. But you do not have to worry about any of it because our teeth whitening procedures can help.
A Take-Home Kit
You may be surprised to learn that we offer a take-home kit. This is not the same kit you would find at your local store. This kit is custom made for you. We take impressions of your mouth and have trays made that will fit your teeth perfectly. This way we know that the whitening agents will hit your teeth evenly, giving you pearly, white teeth that you desire.
Typically, you use our take-home kit for a few weeks until you reach the desired results. It does require some consistency on your end, which is not the right fit for every patient. If you are consistent, though, you can get great results.
If you would rather come into the office for a non-invasive whitening procedure, we offer this option as well. You do not have to have multiple sessions or spend a lot of time in our office. You walk in with stained teeth and walk out with whiter teeth. The process does not hurt and only takes a little while – you can do it on your lunch period.
Why you May Have to Wait
Although we know that you are excited to get whiter teeth, sometimes we have to cure the underlying issue first. If you have tooth decay, gum disease, or an infection, we must treat the issue before we can move forward with whitening your teeth. If we did not treat the issue, first, you would end up with less than optimal results and that is not what we want – we are here to ensure your 100 percent satisfaction.
